An Ancient Farmhouse in Württemberg

A relic of the distant past

It was moved in the 1970s – an immense undertaking. Several such relics of the distant past – 16th and 17th centuries – were assembled in a park called “Schwarzwälder Freilichtmuseum” in Gutach. This house is an HO scale model offered as a kit. I assembled, painted and aged it, then added the window boxes and the doghouse painted in the colors of the Grand Duchy of Baden. As part of The Collection, the old house reminds us of the great antiquity of Europe compared to the United States.
